LOL Translation

While I often find the sidebar ads on facebook annoying and irrelevant, this one was pretty good.  It goes with the most recent entry of random LOLs.  It is 29 famous quotes from books, music and movies translated into LOL.  My personal favorite was when “Get thee to a nunnery” became “Get thee to nunn- SCOOT!”

Shake It

Random LOls

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve updated so in addition to my recent challenge update, I give you LOLs!

Shake It

The LOLs Say...

This is proof that I’m easily amused and have entirely too much free time on my hands.  I went to the lolspeak translator to send it to a friend who, unlike me, is not fluent in lolspeak.  Just for the heck of it, I put in the first line of Pride and Prejudice.

It went from this:

IT IS A TRUTH UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED, THAT A SINGLE MAN IN POSSESSION OF A GOOD FORTUNE, MUST BE IN WANT OF A WIFE.

To this:

IT BE TRUTH UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGD, DAT SINGLE MAN IN POSESSHUN OV GUD FORTUNE, MUST BE IN WANTS OV WIFE.

This is almost motivation enough for me to buy the lolcat bible today.

Fun Shirts

It is no secret that I am seriously addicted to LOLcats.  What may not be common knowledge is how much pleasure I get from their shirts.  The folks at icanhascheezburger.com have started putting out new and interesting shirts on a semi-regular basis.  I am the proud owner of The Evolution of the Cat shirt and recently order the Nerd Love Equation shirt.  I have no one to buy it for me this year (another blog that is somewhat related is forthcoming) so I treated myself.  It's been a while since I haven't blogged about something either involving the phrase book or musing so I thought I'd shake it up just a tiny bit.  I now have to rest so I can deal with the snowy mess that is the DC Metro area.

To spread holiday cheer, I give you Xmas LOLs

Here are the links I used. I searched the Christmas and Santa tags on icanhasacheezburger.com. I did the same for ihasahotdog.com (Christmas, Santa).  According to the website, you can make your favorite LOL into a card. That so has possibilities. sorry if you're Jewish but I thought the tag search might be harder since there are 2 acceptable spellings that I know of.
